For 20+ years, I have traveled the globe as a technical trainer, instructor, and IT consultant with my company, WSDFirm. I've been teaching remote interaction, cameras on both sides, and training since 2003, and I have found unique, engaging, hands-on ways to make it work. No one wants to attend a bad WebEx meeting, and my interactive remote courses are much more than that.
Through my work with WSDFirm, I have served as an ongoing learning and development (L&D) resource for top financial service providers, banks, tech giants and software providers, consumer brands, and government agencies. Additionally, I have worked with many top technical training solution providers to spread knowledge on a broader basis.
My clients come back time over time due to the return on investment I bring to the table. Specifically, I can get students out of the mindset that they are just fulfilling a training requirement. I do so by inspiring and engaging attendees so they are motivated to immediately take lessons learned in the classroom back to their jobs.
To develop effective learning programs, I follow a 2-step process:
(1) NEEDS ASSESSMENT: I partner with corporate executives and hands-on technical experts within organizations to intimately understand training requirements and formulate actual use cases.
(2) TRAINING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: I begin developing training programs once I understand an organization's needs. In many cases, I start from scratch by creating an individualized program, and in other situations, I am involved in the refresh of existing learning materials.
Once a learning program is developed, active facilitation and instruction are the next steps and where it gets fun! Below are my areas of specialty:
